Sicilian Sfinci Recipe is an ancient recipe passed to me from my grandmother.
In Sicily usually we make sfinci for special events, like Christmas, or when the Family gathers.

Igredients for 4 people:
- 500 gr of wheat flour
- 350 gr about of water
- 1 cube of fresh yeast
- vegetable oil for frying
- one pinch of cinnamon
- Sugar to taste
How to make Sfinci:
In a high-sided container put the flour. Create a valley to lay the yeast dissolved in warm water and kneaded with your hands, add gradually all flour. You have to get a soft mixture, almost liquid but not too liquid. At this point, cover the pot with a lid and cover all with a plaid for about 1 hour.
After the time, necessary to make double the dough, heat the oil in a soup pot and bring almost to a boil.
Now, take away a spoonful of dough and lay down into deep fry for a few minutes.
Be careful not to burn the sweet balls and your fingers!
Drain on paper towels and while still warm rolled in sugar and cinnamon.
Serve while still warm.
